THE BOOK HAS ARRIVED!
A one-in-a-million cancer story that reveals the power of faith, family, and God's unfailing grace.
Exclusively on:
"You have a rare form of cancer called Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP). It only affects one in a million....."
I didn't hear much after the doctor said those words. Cancer? But I'm healthy. I am only 45 and I am a triathlete and run daily....he can't be talking about me. I went in for possible appendicitis, not....cancer.
These words changed everything as we knew it. I couldn't begin to imagine the road ahead of us or how that ache in my side after a run brought me to this news. I'm glad I didn't know what was coming because I may have chosen not to take it. "I went in to the hospital weighing 175 pounds, very fit and strong and returned home 6 weeks later weighing 118 pounds.
This story is our journey. We did take it, my wife and kids and me. It nearly overwhelmed us in every way, but we made it. We made it with our anchor of faith that holds us through every storm.
You can have that same anchor. In fact, my cancer story, while it takes you through the journey of my diagnosis, multiple near-death experiences, and present-day survival ---it's only by God's grace and mercy that I'm here. that my family is here. We want you to know that story.
I realize some of my readers have lost loved ones to cancer. Not everyone gets more years, as I've had. I'm so sorry. The anchor of hope and faith is for you, too. We all need it in the unique way our story goes.
My wife, Judi, and I will take turns telling the story as we go. Judi calls it "our cancer" because it impacted our whole family. Her voice is crucial, representing the countless caregivers who've walked alongside ailing loved ones. And I hope, together with her, that our story will offer hope, peace, and belief.
As a neighbor of George and Judi for the past four years, I knew they had faced significant health challenges with George’s cancer. However, I had no idea of the full extent of the trials they navigated over the past couple of decades. They are such an amazing, loving, kind, and positive couple, always grateful for what they have, and reading this book helped me truly understand why.
I initially picked up the book to get to know them better, but I did not expect to experience God’s love on such a personal level. Seeing George and Judi’s deep love and trust in God—and how they continue to walk in faith through every crisis—brought me to tears multiple times. I was moved by the pain they endured, the support of the community that carried them, and the inspiration to examine my own faith walk.
Thank you for sharing this powerful story.

No Guts, His Glory is a gut-wrenching account of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual suffering of a couple as they find themselves on a journey that no one would ever choose to walk through. As quoted in the book, “God can change the direction of our lives in a moment so that we can discover that we are too easily satisfied with today’s pleasures. But God!”
The authors share their raw and honest prayers, crying out to God to act, to do something, when the suffering continued without seeing any progress. Yet they had faith that God would do something. They trusted him to answer their prayers.
Their journey is an example to all of us of how we can cling to God’s promises and the hope we have in him when we are desperate in the trials of life.
